About the Opportunity

As a Financial Services Specialist, you will manage full-cycle accounting functions for a portfolio of salon and spa clients, including month-end close, payroll processing, sales tax filings, and ongoing financial reporting. You will serve as a trusted point of contact for clients, providing regular communication and support to ensure their financials are accurate and delivered on time every month.

Key Responsibilities

• Month-End Close: Manage the full month-end close process including bank and credit card reconciliations, balance sheet account reconciliations, payroll breakdowns, sales and cost of sales entry, distributor invoice breakdowns, and general P&L organization.

• Payroll & Tax Compliance: Process client payroll accurately and on schedule; handle sales tax filings and 1099 processing in a timely manner.

• Cash Management: Monitor and manage cash flow activities on behalf of clients.

• Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, journal entries, and related reports to ensure clients have a clear and accurate picture of their business finances.

• Client Communication: Maintain regular, proactive communication with clients to provide support, answer questions, and keep financials on track each month.

• General Accounting Support: Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned to support the team and clients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field preferred

• 3–5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience required

• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel required

• Strong understanding of financial statements

• Experience with payroll processing and sales tax filing a plus

What We Offer

• Starting salary of $60,000–$65,000, depending on experience

• Medical and Dental coverage (50% paid by the employer)

• 401(K) with 3% match after one year

• Short-term disability (offered by employer, paid by employee)
