Bookkeeper | Lansing, MI

Salary Range: $45,000 - $65,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
• Process payroll, including wages, deductions, and related tax filings.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations promptly and accurately.
• Maintain the general ledger, posting journal entries and ensuring data integrity.
• Assist with tracking and reconciling inventory costs for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Generate basic financial reports, such as Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes for financial reporting.

Recommended Qualifications

• Experience performing full-cycle bookkeeping, ideally within a manufacturing or production setting.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and experience with ERP systems.
• Solid understanding of inventory valuation methods and cost accounting principles.
• Demonstrated ability to manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with manufacturing-specific ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Familiarity with cost accounting principles relevant to manufacturing (e.g., job costing, inventory valuation).
• Prior experience assisting with inventory management and reconciliation.
• Knowledge of fixed asset tracking and depreciation for manufacturing equipment.
