Job Description

:

CSCI Consulting is looking for a Financial Analyst Consultant who will work with the project team to provide support for financial statement reporting, compilation, and audit remediation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with identifying, assessing, and documenting all associated risks and internal controls.
  • Assist with conducting assessments of current audit remediation activities contained in all assigned and managed corrective action plans (CAP).
  • Assist with providing recommendations for improvement to more effectively mitigate findings contained in Independent Public Auditor (IPA) Notices of Findings and Recommendations (NFR).
  • Assist with coaching and guiding audit remediation teams in the completion of all approved CAP milestones.
  • Assist Process Owners and audit team members with maintaining up to date documentation, evidentiary matter (EM) evidencing progress toward audit deficiency remediation.
  • Assist with developing and retaining evidentiary matter (EM) required to substantiate deficiency remediation and preparing CAP closure packages within approved timelines.
  • Assist with the development of testing plans under Test of Design (TOD) and Test of Effectiveness (TOE) procedures.

Minimum Requirements

  • All candidates must have an active public trust clearance (NACLC) or be able to pass a federal background investigation.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office applications, to include word, excel and power point.
  • Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Capability to work in a team environment, as well as independently.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a positive relationship with customers and other vendors.
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in internal control over financial reporting (ICOFR).
  • Experience in generally accepted government auditing standards (GAGAS).
  • Experience in generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
