Job Description

: Parish Financial Consultant Finance & Accounting Full-time, Benefit eligible PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position performs financial, operational and compliance reviews of parishes and other diocesan entities to assess compliance with Diocesan standards. Review current and historical individual parish financial data and trends to be used in the proxy process. Act as a resource to parish business administrators, bookkeepers, finance councils, and parish Treasurer Trustees on implementation of diocese standard accounting policies and procedures. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: “Embrace the mission and vision of the Catholic Diocese of Green Bay and work in accordance with Catholic Teachings and the moral and ethical values of the Catholic Church.”
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • Two to five years of accounting experience required.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • MS Office, with strong Excel skills required.
  • Strong analytical and reasoning abilities, including planning, organizing and decision-making abilities with follow through.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task with attention to detail.
  • Is ethical and honest in all interactions and keeps sensitive information confidential.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to be patient while working with individuals with a diverse skill set.
PERFERRED:
  • Certified Public Accountant designation.
  • Audit Experience.
  • QuickBooks knowledge.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles for nonprofits.
