Job Summary
This summer position will support the Virtual Design Construction (VDC) department and will be scheduled to work 2-3 days during the workweek, up to a maximum of 24 hours weekly. Due to the part-time nature of this position, no benefits are available.
Responsibilities and Duties
Supports the VDC Specialists/Supervisors in developing detailed coordination and fabrication drawings for the appropriate trade.
Assists with the following:
Produce drawings consistent with instructions, prefabrication guidelines and standards.
Label and dimension drawings prepared by department staff.
Plot all department drawings.
Read architectural and structural floor plans, sections and elevations.
Qualifications and Skills
Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Previous drafting or programming computer related class preferred.
Must be proficient in math skills including fractions, decimals, and algebra.
Must be available to work at least 16 hours a week during the summer.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Working knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Must be able to satisfactorily pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
