Job Summary:

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides skilled in-home therapy services under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists. The role involves implementing treatment plans focused on therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and functional mobility interventions to help patients improve mobility, safety, and quality of life. The PTA works independently in a home-based setting while collaborating with therapists, nurses, caregivers, and other care team members. This position offers flexible full-time or part-time scheduling and requires strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled therapy services in patient homes following established treatment plans.
• Carry out therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and functional mobility interventions.
• Monitor and communicate patient progress and any changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Encourage patient participation and reinforce therapy goals.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Collaborate with therapists, nurses, caregivers, and other members of the care team to ensure coordinated patient care.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Current Colorado Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in good standing.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and professionally in a home-based setting.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience in home health or outpatient therapy settings (preferred but not required).
• Professional development or continuing education in physical therapy techniques.

Special Considerations:

• Work is performed primarily in patient home environments requiring travel.
• Must maintain reliable transportation for travel to patient homes.
• Flexible scheduling to accommodate patient needs and clinician availability.

• Work hours may vary based on patient appointments and geographic location.
