Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Running a tight ship where every operational detail is addressed, from managing inventory and adherence to policies to ensuring compliance with all labor and employment laws applicable to location employees (including any local and state licensing laws for estheticians).
- Develop, implement, enforce and evaluate policies and procedures; write Standard Operating Procedures.
- Overseeing the team to move more people forward in their journey to clear skin by driving annual memberships, promoting retail sales and hits monthly and quarterly service sales goals.
- Leading the way to an exceptional experience for clients by overseeing the daily operations, maintaining a clean, safe facility and guiding the customer service team to positively resolve customer challenges.
- Help build a strong culture where all employees feel valued, good work is acknowledged, issues are resolved quickly, and everyone feels part of Plump'd.
- Resolve customer complaints
- Respond to client leads and convert phone prospects to clients
Financial
- Oversees cost of goods sold: Inventory cycle counts, ordering products and supplies, and receiving in goods
- Process bi-weekly payroll
- Oversee bookkeeper activities
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales goals
- Ensure monthly operations stay within budget
Human Resources
- Determines hiring needs then recruits, interviews, hires and trains Front Desk administration team members.
- Determines hiring needs for the Esthetic team and then recruits, interviews and hires new team members.
- Manage staff levels of clinic, wages and hours.
- Create a compensation strategy for all employees based on market research and pay surveys; keeps the strategy up to date.
- Conduct annual salary survey’s.
- Track employee birthdays and anniversaries, plan celebrations and gift purchasing as needed.
- Conduct new employee orientation for the clinic and online employees.
- Ensure job descriptions are kept up to date and compliant with local, state and federal regulations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Monitors KPI’s for estheticians and front desk coordinators, calculates commission for estheticians and submits data to the Bookkeeper.
Leadership and People Management
- Develop and inspire others to grow, learn and advance their careers.
- Promote teamwork and positive morale.
- Inform direct reports of job responsibilities, performance expectations, client service standards, or corporate policies and guidelines, and hold them accountable.
- Assess direct reports performance and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Coordinate training as needed for direct reports.
- Ensure adherence to the Employee Policy Manual & Esthetician Employee Agreement, implement all the rules, policies and procedures established by the company; including, but not limited to, those contained in the Employee Policy Manual & Esthetician Employee Agreement.
- Conduct team meetings.
- Handles discipline and termination of direct reports in accordance with company policy.
Inventory/Ordering
- Manage inventory count and ensure that supplies do not run out.
- Utilizing Inventory Planner, order retail supplies. Ensure items are never back ordered.
- Manage inventory count of backbar, treatment, sanitation and office supplies.
- Monitor and order treatment and sanitation supplies.
- Manage relationships with key vendors.
- Develop and implement a process for tracking physical operations inventory counts.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 1 year management and operations experience
- Quickbooks experience
- Bookkeeping experience
Skill Set and Characteristics:
- Strong technical and systems skills a must- we are very tech heavy!
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Proven ability to lead and motivate others towards a common goal
- Experience with high-end customer service
- Excellent interpersonal communication and writing skills
- Strong sales experience and ability to communicate effectively with customers
- Energized by a complexity and challenges
- Extremely high attention to detail
- Willingness and desire to get your hands dirty and help
- Loves to solve problems
- Ability to prioritize tasks in the moment and able to delegate
