We are seeking a Tax Consultant with ability to effectively communicate and present to clients.

What You'll Do:
Our Tax Consultant position is an outstanding opportunity for a tax professional to work with our clients' employment tax credits and economic incentive programs throughout the United States, to ensure our clients are not overlooking these valuable opportunities. You will be responsible in helping reduce costs and minimize tax liability.

This role is 100% work from home position with ability to travel to client corporate sites for business reviews annually or quarterly or for optional in office learning opportunities. All travel is domestic, and not required on regular basis. 

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as primary contact for 20-30 tax customers, answer emails and phone calls within 24 hours, host monthly calls.
  • Create and deliver organized, thoughtful, and well-designed QBRs with the objective of retaining and growing each customer in his/her portfolio with a focus on expanding the programs calculated by First Advantage
  • Analyze KPI data for all assigned clients and identify drops in program performance, suggest possible program improvements in order to maximize credit capture and provide useful consultation on streamlining the tax portion of the hiring process
  • Complete all tasks delegated by Managers and the leadership team in a timely and accurate manner
  • Identify cross-sell/up-sell opportunities, meet or exceed upsell goal delegated by leadership.
  • Serve as a mentor and coach to Tax Consultants, modeling desired behavior
  • Achieve a 98% or greater customer retention rate
What You May Need to be Successful:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience. BS in accounting or Finance, preferred. SPA/JD/MST/LLM Taxation a plus.
  • Public accounting, Account Management and prior experience managing credit and incentive programs.
  • Ability to interpret and apply statutory and regulatory guidelines and requirements
  • History of success in upselling services to existing clientele including meeting or exceeding quotas and/or annual goals
  • Strong and confident board room presence and public speaking abilities

  • Strong data analysis skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Sense of urgency to meet client and state deadlines
  • Highly responsive and adaptable to evolving priorities
  • Ability to work and thrive in a dynamic team environment as well as act independently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (i.e. Outlook, Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Organizational skills and strong attention to detail

The salary range for this position is approximately $60-75k base annually. This range reflects our good faith estimate to pay fairly as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on the selected candidate’s experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process.
