Location: Big Spring, TX

Pay Rate: $22.00/hour

Position Summary

The Assistant Property Manager / Leasing Consultant supports the day-to-day operations of the community while delivering exceptional customer service to current and prospective residents. This role combines leasing responsibilities with administrative and operational support to help achieve occupancy, retention, and resident satisfaction goals.

The ideal candidate is organized, professional, sales-minded, and passionate about providing an outstanding resident experience.

Key Responsibilities

Leasing & Resident Relations

  • Greet prospective residents and conduct community and apartment home tours.
  • Respond to leasing inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
  • Process rental applications and assist with lease preparation and renewals.
  • Follow up with prospects and maintain strong lead management practices.
  • Build positive relationships with current residents and assist with resident retention efforts.
  • Address resident concerns and coordinate resolutions with onsite staff.

Property Operations

  • Assist with daily office operations and administrative tasks.
  • Support rent collection and resident account management.
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, and community communications.
  • Assist with move-in and move-out procedures.
  • Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure timely completion of resident requests.
  • Help maintain accurate resident and property records.

Marketing & Community Outreach

  • Support marketing initiatives and resident events.
  • Maintain knowledge of local market conditions and competitor communities.
  • Promote the community through online and in-person outreach efforts.

Qualifications

Required

  • Previous leasing, assistant property management, customer service, sales, or administrative experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and email.
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.

Preferred

  • Previous multifamily housing experience.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations.
  • Experience with property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, Entrata, RealPage, Blue Moon, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with lease renewals, resident relations, collections, and occupancy management.

Work Environment

  • Professional office setting within a multifamily apartment community.
  • Frequent interaction with residents, prospects, vendors, and team members.
  • Fast-paced environment requiring strong customer service and organizational skills.
  • Occasional weekend hours may be required.
