Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our correctional facility team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to incarcerated individuals, ensuring their health and safety while maintaining strict adherence to security protocols. Your expertise will support the delivery of high-quality healthcare services within a challenging environment, promoting wellness and managing acute and chronic conditions with professionalism and empathy. Duties

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health histories, to determine immediate and ongoing healthcare needs.
Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and perform wound care such as suturing and ostomy management following aseptic techniques.
Manage acute pain and provide emergency response care, including airway management and ventilator support when necessary.
Document all patient interactions accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Cerner or Athenahealth, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Coordinate with healthcare providers for diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory testing, radiology (e.g., CT scans), and specialist referrals in areas like cardiology or ophthalmology.
Implement infection control protocols and maintain sterile processing standards to prevent disease transmission within the facility.
Educate inmates on health promotion, medication adherence, chronic disease management (including diabetes and cardiovascular conditions), and mental health support.

Pay: $47.15 - $56.79 per hour
